POLICIES + FAQs

1. What should I expect if this is my first tattoo?

First tattoo? Awesome! Here are some things to know before you jump in:

  • You must be 18+ to get tattooed.

  • No tattoos under the influence.

  • We won’t tattoo anything offensive or that promotes hate.

  • Be certain you’re ready for this commitment.

  • Have a clear vision for your tattoo goals and how you see yourself with tattoos.

  • Respect the process, and enjoy the journey!

The tattoo industry is a fun, creative space, and we take our art seriously. We love when clients come back with cool ideas, and we’re here to help bring your vision to life.

Here’s how we’ll guide you through the tattoo process:

  1. Conceptual Stage – Gathering ideas, styles, themes, and references.

  2. Placement Stage – Determining size, flow, and fitting.

  3. Stencil Stage – Creating the stencil, sterilizing, and confirming placement.

  4. Tattoo Stage – Starting the session and creating your tattoo!

2. How much does a tattoo cost?

Tattoo pricing varies depending on the artist and their experience. If you have an artist in mind, feel free to reach out for specifics!

3. I have an idea! Can your artists help?

Definitely! If you have ideas already, you’re ahead of the game. Let’s set up a free consultation to go over them. Bringing in reference photos on your phone or tablet helps us get a clear picture of what you want.

4. Do tattoos hurt?

Short answer: Yes, but pain varies! Everyone experiences it differently, depending on placement and personal tolerance.

5. Can I use numbing creams?

Unfortunately, we don’t work on skin with numbing cream applied because it can impact our process:

  • It may compromise your skin’s texture, making it harder for us to work.

  • It can affect the ink quality.

  • If you arrive with numbing cream already applied, we may need to reschedule and charge for the artist’s time.

6. What if I change my mind about the design?

We understand! If you decide to change the design after placing a deposit and seeing a draft, the deposit won’t be refundable. However, we’re happy to adjust details within the concept at no extra cost.

7. My tattoo faded. Can you help?

If your tattoo was done here, we offer a complimentary touch-up within six months, with a setup fee. If the tattoo was done elsewhere, we’ll treat it as a new tattoo and apply our standard rate.

8. Can you do a tattoo cover-up?

Yes! If the tattoo you want to cover is faded, even better. Keep an open mind about size, color, and style as we work with you to create the best cover-up possible. Laser removal can also help, but it requires 6+ weeks of healing before we tattoo over it.

9. I want a large tattoo, like a sleeve. What’s next?

Large pieces like sleeves are an exciting commitment! You’ll want a clear plan for design elements, flow, and how the tattoo will look as a whole. Some clients start with multiple smaller tattoos and gradually build into a sleeve. Either way, we’re here to make it amazing!

10. Can I get a tattoo if I’m under 18?

With parental consent, clients aged 16+ can get a tattoo, as long as they show decisiveness and reason for wanting it. Artists may still decline service at their discretion.

11. What about blood donation? Can I still give blood after a tattoo?

You’ll need to wait after getting a tattoo, typically 3 months to a year, before donating blood. Be sure to check with your blood donation center about any restrictions.

12. Is it safe to get a tattoo if I’m pregnant?

We don’t recommend getting a tattoo while pregnant due to potential complications. Wait until after the baby arrives—then come visit us, and we’d love to hear all about your new arrival!

13. How long will my tattoo last?

We create REAL, permanent tattoos that can last a lifetime when cared for properly. Follow your aftercare instructions, wear sunscreen, and avoid harsh chemicals, and your tattoo should look great for years to come.

14. Do I need a touch-up?

Over time, tattoos may fade from sun exposure, friction, or poor healing. If you got your tattoo here, we offer one free touch-up with a supply fee, but we may charge if aftercare instructions weren’t followed. Tattoos done elsewhere will be treated as new, with standard pricing.

15. Do you accept walk-ins?

We are a private tattoo studio by appointment only.

16. How do I prepare for my consultation?

Preparation is key! Bring references, think about styles, and write down any ideas or themes. Let us know anything you don’t want, too. While we won’t copy another artist’s work, we’ll get a sense of the elements and style you love. This will help us create a tattoo that’s unique to you.

Our artists love creativity and will work with your ideas to make your vision come to life!
